Report to the Community
In 2015, the Board was required by the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities (OACBHA) to complete a self-assessment on our compliance with the Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) plan put in place in 2014. ROSC is a way of thinking about service delivery for those with mental illness and/or addiction disorders that focus first and foremost on clients and family members.
Our objectives were to change the conversation:
Mental illness and addiction disorders are chronic illnesses
Mental illnesses and addiction disorders can be successfully treated
Recovery is worth celebrating
After this process, we found that MHRB has many strengths and opportunities for improvement. Based on the feedback, we have incorporated key action steps into our three year strategic plan.
--Implement state mandated programming, including recovery housing.
--Expand our current continuum of care.
--Expand services with a focus on veterans and senior community members.
--Expand peer support programming
