What is the Crisis Intervention Team?
Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) programs are designed for Law Enforcement agencies to help direct people with mental illness to treatment. Officers learn to integrate their police training with de-escalating crisis techniques that trained mental health professionals teach them during this program.
Scholarship Opportunities
Thanks to the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services, The Criminal Justice Coordinating Center of Excellence and NAMI are able to provide mini grants and scholarships to CIT programs. The scholarships are to support Law Enforcement agencies who send their officers to CIT Training courses. Scholarships are available for NEW agencies who have not participated in CIT training in the past. For more information, please contact our office.

Please note: In order to qualify for our refresher training you must first complete a full training program.
