Samaritan Behavioral Health (SBHI) provides psychiatric, therapeutic, and case management services to children, adolescents, and adults by our highly skilled board certified psychiatrists.  SBHI works with all ages - children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health needs, including emotional, behavioral, and substance use services.  SBHI's trained therapists work with individuals to understand who they are, their needs, obstacles, and personal goals for treatment.  Each person is unique and is treated with individualized care and respect.
We also provide case management services - where individuals are assisted in accessing resources, navigating complex systems, and receive help in learning how to use the tools they are learning in therapy.
SBHI has a trained crisis therapist, who works to ensure all individuals receive needed support and care when emotionally distressed.

  1. Meet with staff who will ask you basic questions such as date of birth,  social security number, marital status, as well as questions regarding financial information. You will sign a consent to treat, just like at the doctor's office. You  will provide insurance information, whether it be private, CareSource, or Medicaid. Even if you have no insurance, you can be treated. Clients pay on a sliding fee scale.
  2. You will provide your health history. A doctor and/or nurse will review that 3-page document.
  3. Your privacy is PROTECTED! No one can call Samaritan and even find out if you are a client - unless you give that permission.
  4. After your health history is reviewed, you will be assisted in making an appointment with your therapist. You must visit the therapist a minimum of three to five times (each situation is individually assessed)  before a referral with a psychiatrist, who is the only professional on staff who can prescribe medication. If you are prescribed medication, you are required to come in for evaluation approximately every 4-6 weeks to monitor the effects of the medication.
  5. Clients will continue to be treated by a therapist on an individual basis, or as approved by their insurance provider.
