Preble County Program Services
The Domestic Violence Shelter in Preble County has continuously operated since the mid-1980's with the YWCA Dayton assuming programmatic operations in fall of 2004 in cooperation with the HIT Foundation. The YWCA provides 24-hour/7 day access to confidential aid for victims of domestic violence, dating violence and child victimization. It is the only protective emergency shelter in the Eaton/Preble County area with "wrap around" services. YWCA Dayton Preble County shelter services offer a wide variety of programming to help women and children improve personal safety, encourage self-sufficiency and enable women to survive, cope and re-enter the community safely. Services include:

Having access to safety, educational and support groups, legal advocacy, therapeutic intervention and safety planning assists families in reclaiming their lives and healing from the trauma of domestic violence.
